I’ve no doubt I’m not the only one that found 2020 wasn't the easiest year to navigate, and it was easy to lose my self-care practices because I was stressed, overwhelmed and at times scared. And, being perfectly honest, I know I’ve had it easy compared to many.
We're all hoping that 2021 will offer us a little respite and TLC, but the truth is, who knows what the future will throw at us.
So, we gotta do something to keep us healthy, mind, body & soul. Just like we take our vitamins and eat healthy food to sustain and maintain our physical body, we need to do the same for our mental health, too. What is one vitamin for mental health? Meditation.
Meditation is like vitamins for our mental health. It can even change the structure of the brain. I know some of you might be skeptical, which I completely understand, so I urge you to read the literature or, can watch this TEDx Cambridge talk by Neuroscientist Sara Lazar who wasn't sure she believed it at first either, until she started research it.
I’ve struggled with meditation over the years, I know how hard it can be to just to start start and how difficult it is to make it a daily habit. I get it. So I’ve put together a FREE 10-day 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓽 𝓜𝓮𝓭𝓲𝓽𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮 for those of us who need a little boost and a supporting hand to start up a daily meditation practice.
Meditation doesn't have to be a formal thing. There are many different ways to meditate. And in the challenge each day is a different type of meditation so you can find what works for you best, right now. I've found over the years that different types of meditation work better or worse for me, depending on what's going on in my life.
Never done meditation before? No sweat. We'll start off with short, 2 minute meditations and work our way up.
You're a meditation pro but have gotten out of the habit due to current world stressors? I completely understand, I was right there as well not too long ago. Use this challenge as a kickoff point to reset and get back into your daily practice.
