Masks are now mandatory in public spaces in Asturias. And while they’re not the most comfortable things in the world, we need to think about others at the moment. Don’t wear it for yourself, wear it for those at high risk. Compassion and empathy are two things we all need to work on these days.

Photo taken in the Bosque-Jardín de La Fonte Baxa, a stunning private botanical garden in Luarca, Valdés, Asturias. The gardens are also known as Los Jardines de Panrico, Jardines del Chano or Jardines de la Fontebaixa.

The gardens are right on above the cliffs on the west side of Luarca, looking over the ocean. They boast 20 hectares of land, although not all of that is currently open to the public. We went on a grey, rainy day, and even that didn’t take away from their beauty!

No lo lleves para ti, llévatelo para la persona de alta riesgo. Compasión y empatía son dos cosas en que tenemos que trabajar mucho estos días.]
