Benefits/Contraindications
- Stretches, strengthens, lengthens the shoulders, back and legs. It can help increase flexibility and range of motion and improve breath coordination, awareness, and focus. The pose can also be energizing, de-stressing and relaxing.
- If you have a knee, shoulder, ankle, wrist, spine, hip, knee, or shoulder injury or a recent surgery use a more supportive variation or avoid the pose.
