Daily Gratitude to Knock Pandemic Fatigue Negativity

By Tytoni Yoga

SUN SEP 12, 2021

You may have seen my social media post this morning about gratitude, more specifically 3 things I’m grateful for and I invited you—everyone—to share something they were grateful for or to write it down in your journal.

I’m continuing the conversation here.

It is so incredibly easy to get swallowed down a rabbit hole of negativity, especially when we’re living through the times we are living. Pandemic fatigue is real. It’s that underlying, continual gnaw at energy and happiness. Perhaps at times it’s an invisible force but perhaps at in other moments it’s very, very apparent. However you may have experienced it, or are experiencing it, the truth doesn’t change: it’s easy to get lost in negativity when we seem to be continually surrounded by it.

Negativity can easily lead into a powerful vicious cycle that can be difficult to break.

But it IS possible! And it’s not usually an instant thing, often it takes time and effort—and constant reminders—to break negativity.

The point is: take a moment to look at the positive things going on in your life. Because, in general, we all have at least a few good things, and most of us have A LOT! But, they’re easy to lose track of when all we focus on is the shit bogging us down.

Here’s my suggestion:

Find 3 things to be grateful for

Every morning, as you wake up, make a list of three things that you’re grateful for. They can be ANYTHING. Start small (your cup of coffee or freshness you feel after brushing your teeth, etc.), because small things add up. And then when there’s something bigger, add it to your list.

You can say these out loud to yourself, write them down in a journal, write them on a post-it note that you put on the back of your phone or on your bathroom mirror so you can see them multiple times a day.

Here are my three for today:

I am grateful for…

🌿Kitty cuddles

🌿A warm cup of tea

🌿A great weekend with friends

What are you grateful for?

“I am grateful for…”

If you want an accountability buddy, to help you knock negativity on it’s back, let me know! I’m here to help!
