Recently I had a client reach out to me and ask about what’s happening in the body when we slow down and why is it beneficial?

This is a great question! Now, there are a plethora of things I could mention, but I think the top #1 slow down/stress & anxiety hack is: The Vagus Nerve

When stimulated, our vagus nerve helps trigger our body’s calm response and relieves our fight/flight response. This can be very important when we’re feeling stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. And it’s not just beneficial to do practices that stimulate the vagus nerve when we register we’re feeling stressed, but consistently, throughout our day so we can maintain a supportive balance of our nervous system.
