Happy November!

I spent this last weekend fully immersed in the beauty of autumn and nature, hiking up into the Picos de Europa (the Peaks of Europe is one of the main mountain ranges in the north of Spain), staying in a beautiful—& warm!—mountain refuge, playing in fallen autumn leaves and doing a bit of yoga amongst it all. Our last Yogatrek of the year and it was so incredibly magical!

While looking out at forests of Sajambre, I couldn’t help but think about how grateful I am for the changes I’ve had in my life these last few months. And as in nature, Autumn signifies the importance of change and letting go to get ready for a new beginning, these last months have been a season of autumn in my own life.

🍂Letting go of a job that stopped fulfilling me.

🍂Letting go of the need to feel like I have to do everything.

🍂Letting go of feeling as though I have to please everyone, even when I know it’s detrimental to me.

🍂Letting go of the insecurity, ‘What if I’m not good enough?!’

Change itself isn’t hard. Letting go to allow for change to happen is what can be difficult.

And don’t get me wrong, they’ve not been the easiest last months for me, but the journey is so beautiful and so wonderful that I’m happy to keep working on letting go for these changes to happen.

So, dear friend, if you find yourself in a similar position life: I feel you. But know we’re in it together!

Day of Culture & Yoga/ Día de Cultura y Yoga en Pravia

We had so much fun the last time, and there were several people who asked if we could repeat it, so I talked with Begoña at the Museo Prerrománico de Santianes and we were able to book in another day on Saturday the 20th of November! Discover the history of Somao and its spectacular Indianos architecture of the early 19th century, learn about the old kings and queens of Asturias and visit the oldest standing pre-romanesque church in Asturias, and connect with yourself through breath, mindfulness & movement.

Breathe into Winter

Yoga by the Park

In La Papaya Café Weds 6pm & Fri 9:30am

While the park is beautiful with all the changing colors and falling leaves, it’s getting a bit cold and with the change of the hour, it’s a bit dark. But that’s okay, because for the winter months we’ll be warm and cozy in La Papaya Café! They have big, beautiful windows that frame the tree canopy of the park so we can still feel part of nature, while not having to endure the elements.

And, not to mention, we can get some tasty tidbits, chat & connect after the sessions!
